New Feature with Google My Business: “Google Guaranteed” Badge

If your organization uses Local Service Ads with Google My Business (GMB), you may have already heard of Google Guaranteed. Recently GMB announced a new feature – a “Google Guaranteed” certification, which appears on the profile of a business on Google.image of Google Guaranteed logo

Google Guaranteed evolved from a feature in Local Service Ads to a stand-alone program used to help inspire consumer trust in businesses using GMB. The Google Guaranteed badge is available for a monthly fee of $50/month, subject to background and licensing checks.

This new feature is apparently GMB’s response to a survey sent to small business owners in 2019, which sought to gauge interest in new GMB services and profile upgrades and whether businesses would be willing to pay for new services and upgrades.

Thus far, Google has offered no public data on the effect of Google Guaranteed on metrics like click-through rates or engagement. But it would seem that CTR would improve with the presence of the Google Guaranteed badge.

According to Google, the Google Guaranteed badge is in experiment mode, and little more information is offered as to when or if the feature will become permanent.
